Harris, a manufacturer of baling equipment based in Peachtree City, Ga., has unveiled its redesigned Piranha closed door horizontal baler. The company says the baler can handle any paper stock, secondary fiber, aluminum/steel cans, PET and HDPE. According to the company, features include:
- Small footprint allows the Piranha to work in tightly-spaced facilitie
- Half-inch plate construction with 1-inch by 4-inch thick reinforcement
- 96 tons of compression force and 110 lbs/in² ram face pressure
- Replaceable 3/8-inch thick abrasion resistant AR 500 tongue and groove wear liners on the baler floor and base of the main ram for long life and minimum down time
- Operating weight of 22,000 pounds
- Standard equipment includes a hydraulic door actuator and a serrated shear knife
- Optional above ground or in pit conveyors are available
