Harris, Peachtree City, Ga., has announced the availability of its new HSO 4529 horizontal baler. According to the company, the new model is made for tight spaces because of its small foot print (less than 15 feet long), making it “perfect for many places where a traditional horizontal baler will not fit.”
According to a news release from Harris, the HSO 4529 is also “powerful for its size” and “energy-friendly.” The 50 hp model has an economy mode that shuts down one of the twin 25 hp motors to save energy costs.
The company touts other benefits of the HSO 4529 as well:
- fast cycle times, including 6.5 seconds with the twin 25 hp motors;
- a volumetric displacement and production throughput for shredded OCC of up to 14 tons per hour (using both 25 hp motors) and 16 tons per hour for shredded news;
- the maximum operating pressure is 3,000 psi;
- ram face pressure of from 89 psi and 120 psi to handle many materials;
- high-strength design and construction;
- rear access doors designed to enable excellent accessibility to the cylinders;
- an enclosed power unit designed to reduce noise levels; and
- hinged wire tie inserters and twister units designed to provide easy access.
“This machine is perfect for processing shredded OCC and ONP as well as many conveyor-fed or air system-fed trim applications and even PET,” says Harris in its news release. The company offers a video clip of the machine at www.youtube.com/HarrisEquipment
