Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), an aluminum and copper-based alloy castings company headquartered in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, has acquired Anderson Global, an aluminum foundry tooling manufacturer based in Muskegon, Michigan.

Founded more than 40 years ago by John and Betsy McIntyre, Anderson Global employs more than 50 journeymen machinists and a deep bench of engineering talent as well as advanced machining assets to produce complex and high-precision tooling, WAF says.

  • six CNC vertical machining centers;
  • five CNC horizontal machining centers;
  • four CNC turning centers;
  • one CNC cutter grinder; and
  • 3D scanning and printing capabilities.

Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary within WAF’s portfolio, and all 80 of the company’s team members will continue their employment under WAF’s ownership.

The purchase expands WAF’s capabilities in tooling, casting and machining across a variety of industrial sectors and reflects what WAF describes as its continued optimism for the aluminum foundry industry in North America.

“We are thrilled to welcome Anderson Global to the WAF family,” WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram says. “John and Betsy McIntyre have built a world-class business that stands as the gold standard for tooling in our industry. This acquisition not only strengthens our internal capabilities but also ensures Anderson Global will continue to support foundries across North America as an independent and trusted partner. We look forward to investing in the people, technology and equipment that will enable Anderson Global to thrive for decades to come.”

“As we looked to the future of Anderson Global, it was important to us to find a partner that understands our industry and shares our values,” John and Betsy McIntyre say. “Given our long-standing partnership with WAF, they were the natural choice. We are excited to see Anderson Global continue to grow and serve all of its customers with the added support and resources WAF brings.”

“Anderson Global has an amazing team delivering excellence across the organization,” Shivaram says. “Our goal is to grow by continuing to deliver the highest-quality tooling in the industry and by supporting the broader resurgence of American manufacturing.”

Founded in 1909, WAF is a family-owned company serving a variety of industries by providing aluminum and copper-based alloy castings and machining services for ferrous and nonferrous castings. WAF operates several foundry and machining-related businesses across the Midwest.
