Wendt Corp., a Buffalo, New York-based recycling market shredding and separation equipment provider, recently has made two personnel moves, adding Ben Brackmann to its western United States regional sales staff and promoting Kodey Hayes from within its Aftermarket Division.

Brackmann joins a team of four other regional representatives, and according to Wendt Corp., he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge built over many years of service in the scrap recycling industry. His LinkedIn profile indicates he spent more than 25 years working with the North American Metso Minerals business unit of that Finland-based equipment maker.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ben Brackmann to our team,” says David Siejka, sales director at Wendt Corp. “His extensive background, industry knowledge and familiarity with our customer base makes him a valuable asset to our expanding sales force.

“This strategic addition reinforces our dedication to maintaining excellence in customer service and enhancing our capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Hayes has been promoted to sales engineer, in part because Wendt says its Aftermarket Division has experienced "remarkable growth" since its launch last April.

Hayes has been with Wendt Corp. for nearly two years and the company says he consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

In his new role, Hayes will be responsible for bridging the gap between sales and engineering, working with the regional sales team and directly with customers to define project scope, present solutions and help expand Wendt’s Aftermarket footprint across the market.

“Kodey’s promotion reflects both his personal commitment to professional growth and Wendt’s dedication to fostering talent from within,” says Ethan Willard, global director of business development at Wendt.

“With his solid background in engineering and a demonstrated passion for taking on new challenges, Kodey is well-positioned to contribute significantly to our continued expansion of our Aftermarket presence."

Wendt Corp. sells a variety of recycling processing equipment, including metal shredders. In 2023, the company engaged in the sale and installation of 14 auto shredders in the United States and other parts of the world. In addition to auto shredders, Wendt Corp. offers shredder downstream sorting equipment, metal balers and shears, scrap wire and cable processing equipment and wear parts.
