Equipment and components provider Voith Turbo North America, York, Pennsylvania, says its North American customers can now take advantage of quick-time delivery of its midsize u-joint type of drive shafts and components.
Voith says in North America its delivery times have dropped from seven months to seven weeks, with its warehouses and distribution centers in the United States “now stocking all components (for drive shafts in the 208-to-550-millimeter in diameter size range) to offer delivery within weeks.” Delivery for many of these shafts, previously warehoused in Germany, sometimes took months, notes the company.
Voith Turbo provides complete u-joint shafts, couplings, driveline monitoring systems, components and parts, as well as transmissions, axle drives, torque converters and hydrostatic pumps, for a wide variety of industries and applications, including metal processing, scrap recycling, mining and transportation, among other applications.
For the recycling industry, Voith says it offers “drive and hydraulic solutions that significantly increase the productivity and profitability” of capital equipment including shredders, balers and conveyor systems.
The company says its drive shafts have a “robust modular design that offers a universal fit” and also have the “highest torque capacity size-for-size in the market, some 20 percent higher than equivalent competitors.”
Voith Turbo’s 70,000 square foot facility in York designs, fabricates, distributes and services Voith products for its customers in North America.
