Stuart Tilney |
Tomra Sorting UK has named Stuart Tilney to head up the company. He replaces Jonathan Clarke, who became commercial director of recycling for Tomra Sorting last year.
In his new position Tilney will be responsible for developing strategy, managing operations, overseeing corporate and legal compliance and delivering on the company’s growth objectives.
As head of Tomra Sorting Ltd. UK, Tilney will head up the UK service, administration and finance departments across the company’s recycling and food sales and business streams. He will be based out of Tomra Sorting’s offices and service center in Loughborough, U.K.
Tilney, with more than 25 years of experience in engineering, electronics and management, joined Tomra Sorting in 2008 when it was then known as TITECH Ltd. He was named UK service manager in 2011.
In announcing the appointment, Clarke says, “We’re delighted to see Stuart take on this key role for the company in the U.K., which remains a core growth area for the Tomra brand. Stuart’s in-depth understanding of our business and our technologies, coupled with his extensive international service and support experience, make him the ideal candidate to take on this challenging role as country manager.”
Tilney says, “With a number of large-scale projects in the pipeline, it’s a very exciting time to be taking on this position. Our continued focus on service and technical support differentiates Tomra from our competitors — few people realize that in the U.K. alone we have a team of seven service engineers. My priorities will be to deliver the highest level of customer care, to provide current and future Tomra customers with the best possible solutions for their business and to create an organization that is capable of meeting the corporate challenges of the next five years.
