The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Springs, Maryland, has announced that Re-TRAC Connect, Winnepeg, Canada, has joined its growing Affinity Program.
SWANA’s expanding lineup of affinity providers offers members with companies that have been carefully reviewed by SWANA’s Affinity Program Committee to earn the distinction of being a “SWANA preferred provider.”
Re-TRAC Connect is a software company that offers configurable web-based platforming for local governments to manage and measure their waste and recycling programs. The software uses intelligent online forms to streamline and standardize data collection, instead of using traditional spreadsheets, email and paper forms which many still rely on.
“We are extremely pleased to be working with SWANA as an affinity partner,” says Rick Penner, president of Re-TRAC Connect. “Local governments can save a lot of time using our software while instantly accessing the performance metrics needed to properly manage their programs. As a technical solution that drives efficiency, we know that Re-TRAC Connect will help SWANA members achieve their continual improvement goals.”
Re-TRAC Connect won the National Recycling Coalition’s 2014 National Recycling Award and the U.S. EPA’s 2013 National Notable Achievement Award for RCRA Sustainable Materials Management. Their expanding client network includes all levels of government, businesses, non-profits and more.
“I am very pleased that SWANA is adding Re-TRAC to our Affinity Program,” states David Biderman, SWANA’s executive director and CEO. “They are a highly regarded company that provides useful waste and recycling-related software to local governments in both the U.S. and Canada, and I am confident that SWANA-affiliated cities and counties will find value in their services.
