New Jersey-based World Steel Dynamics (WSD) has announced the New York Marriott Marquis as the venue for its 2024 Global Steel Dynamics Forum, which is scheduled for June 17-18.
WSD has held a midyear annual steel industry event in New York since the 1990s. This year, the business information services firm has added the Washington-based American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) as a conference co-host and partner.
The conference organizers are billing the event as “the world’s premier executive event focused on steel industry dynamics, critical insights and essential strategic outlooks.”
The event’s predecessor conferences typically have offered presentations and panel discussions featuring prominent steel industry executives, including those from recycled-content electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmakers.
“The conference program leverages strategic market expertise and technical savvy while offering unique global perspectives that transcend regional insights — a schedule and lineup that’s second to none," WSD says.
Already lined up as speakers at the 2024 Global Steel Dynamics Forum are Cleveland-Cliffs CEO Lourenco Goncalves, Steel Dynamics Inc. CEO Mark Millett and Gerdau SA CEO Gustavo Werneck.
Additional information about the conference, including how to register, can be found here.
