Starlinger & Co., an Austrian-based equipment company, has named Alfred Rak vice president of sales for its American Starlinger-Sahm Inc. (ASSI), subsidiary based in Greenville, S.C.
In his new position, Rak, with more than 30 years of experience in international trade, will oversee the entire Starlinger product portfolio for the U.S. and Canadian market.
“I am sure that the world of plastic manufacturers will be more directed into reusable processes, meaning that recycling technologies are absolutely on the upswing. Starlinger’s position as a market leader for plastic processing machines will open new avenues to customers for more sustainable technologies and savings within the arena of recycling,” says Rak.
ASSI provides sales and after-sales service to customers in the United States and Canada. The company also acts as an agent for companies involved in the plastics and textile industries.
