Starlinger Recycling Technology, a division of Austrian-based Starlinger & Co. GmbH, has been shortlisted for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2023 in the Product Technology Innovations of the Year for its RecoStar PET Art recycling line.
Paul Niedl, commercial head of Starlinger Recycling Technology, says, “We feel grateful and honored being shortlisted for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe with our latest technology innovation, RecoStar PET Art. This new machine concept builds on Starlinger’s solid foundation of manufacturing PET bottle-to-bottle recycling lines for more than 15 years and has been designed to take mechanical PET recycling to the next level.”
The company says it has focused its technical development on achieving the highest production efficiency and keeping energy consumption and maintenance as low as possible. The newly conceived PET bottle-to-bottle recycling system RecoStar PET Art consumes 25 percent less energy compared with the company’s previous model, requires 46 percent less maintenance time, has a 21 percent smaller machine footprint and a production output increase of 15 percent. In total, bottle-to-bottle recyclers can save about 21 percent in production costs with the new system, according to Starlinger.
The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2023 winners will be announced May 11 during the second day of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe, taking place at the RAI Amsterdam.
Open to organizations and individuals across Europe involved in the recycling of plastic materials, the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe are organized jointly by Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) and Crain Communications, organizers of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe.
