Eric Ingebretsen, chief commercial officer of global information technology asset disposition (ITAD) services firm SK TES, has been awarded as ITAD Individual of the Year at the 2024 ITAD Summit.

The Global ITAD Institute organized the event, which was in Miami in late July.

According to SK TES, the award Ingebretsen received underscores his "exceptional" contributions to the industry and his "unwavering commitment to sustainability, security and innovation."

“Eric Ingebretsen’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering strong client relationships and positioning SK TES as a trusted partner for Fortune 500 companies, OEMs and automotive giants," SK TES says. "His vision and dedication are at the heart of our mission to combine security, sustainability and technological advancement.”

The ITAD Individual of the Year award is designed to recognize a person in the global ITAD services industry who does their job in a way that exemplifies the highest ethical standards and an unequaled level of knowledge and expertise.

Ingebretsen works for SK TES from the United States, where it has several locations, including a sizable new ITAD center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The global firm was founded in Singapore as TES-AMM and was acquired by South Korea-based SK Ecoplant in 2022.  The firm rebranded as SK TES earlier this year.

SK TES offers ITAD services in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia, where earlier this year it earned a separate honor—a 2024 Avetta Customer Award designed to recognize companies and individuals across the globe who have prioritized a culture of safety and responsibility.

In addition to its ITAD services, SK TES has a growing presence in the lithium-ion and electric vehicle battery disposition and recycling sector. The company owns and operates more than 40 facilities in 22 countries.
