Emily Patterson, chief of staff at St. Louis-based recycling company Shapiro, has been named one of the top women leaders of 2024 by Women We Admire.
Since joining Shapiro, the company says Patterson has championed initiatives that align with its core mission of fostering a circular economy.
“This recognition is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to the incredible team I work with at Shapiro, the inspiring leaders I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with and the support from my network of peers and mentors,” Patterson says in a LinkedIn post announcing the achievement. “Throughout my journey in HR [human resources] and as a chief of staff, I’ve always believed in the power of people and purpose. This recognition only strengthens my resolve to continue championing growth, inclusivity and sustainable leadership in every step we take.”
