The scale can be easily transported on a truck and features a battery-powered digital weight indicator with a 5-digit, 1-inch high LCD display that can be mounted anywhere. Equipped with live rails for weighing skids, crates, and other types of containers as well, the Alliance/Cardinal Portable Drum and Barrel Scale is marketed as being versatile. The scale has keypad selectable conversion units and RS-232 computer compatibility It measures only 30 inches long by 40 inches wide x 4.5-inches high and weighs 105 pounds. The scale is made from heavy-duty steel with a baked-on powder finish and is available in 500- and 1,000-pounds capacity models. A stainless steel version is optional.
