RRS expands ownership team

The board of directors for Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), Ann Arbor, Michigan, has added five leaders to the company’s ownership team: Elizabeth Hughes Bowden, Hunt Briggs, Beth Coddington, Brennan Madden and Matt Todd.

RRS, which was established in 1986, says these new shareholders have played a pivotal role in its growth, mentorship programs and several of the service offerings and landmark studies that have become central to its brand in the last decade. Collectively, they have served RRS clients for more than 65 years and have demonstrated dedication to the company’s mission and its positive impact on clients and the industry at large.

Elizabeth Hughes Bowden is based in Lima, Ohio, and has been with RRS since 2008. She serves as team resources director and plays a crucial role in the company's rapid growth by implementing systems, recruiting talent and fostering inclusivity, according to RRS.

Hunt Briggs, located in St. Louis, has been contributing to RRS since 2012, bringing expertise in ecology and industrial ecology, finance and strategy to support clients in sustainable packaging, circular economy transition and more. He leads RRS’ organics recovery activities.

Beth Coddington has been with RRS since 2006 and is based in Boulder, Colorado. RRS says she is skilled at economic analysis and has been instrumental in statistical modeling, budget projections and enhancing residential recycling access, earning her the Waste360 40 Under 40 award.

Brennan Madden is a materials management expert based in Berkeley, California. He joined RRS in 2011 and has been a key figure in refining and expanding RRS’ TruCycle assessment methodologies and developing databases crucial to RRS’s materials recovery consulting, the firm says.

Matt Todd, based in Durham, North Carolina, has been with RRS since 2012, specializing in solid waste and recycling programs, end markets and the circular economy. He has led the development of numerous community recycling partnerships on behalf of RRS and its clients.

Brianne Haven, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at RRS, says, “The material management industry is evolving rapidly, and our decades of experience have attracted new clients and projects, expanding our portfolio of work.
