Rice Lake Weighing Systems, Rice Lake, Wisconsin, has announced the acquisition of MCI Systems, an integrated management software company based in Farnham, United Kingdom, in mid-November.
MCI Systems was founded in 1988 with the vision of creating a software solution that would help manufacturers comply with weighing legislation while improving overall business operations. Since then, MCI Systems has expanded to offer a comprehensive range of operation monitoring, process controlling and data recording modules under the MCI Myrias software suite.
MCI Myrias software includes 100 unique modules including batching, stock control, checkweighing, packaging, logistics and processing. Modules can be combined in multiple configurations to create custom systems for any application, according to an announcement by Rice Lake.
The acquisition of MCI Systems enhances Rice Lake Weighing Systems’ integrated weight and measurement control offerings around the world. MCI Myrias is an enterprise software that helps businesses improve operations and drive growth across numerous industry sectors. Myrias captures, monitors and reports weight data—empowering companies to make informed decisions by incorporating scale data. The software is modular, which allows full customization, and can be easily integrated into existing systems. Managers can mix and match different modules to create a solution tailored to a specific situation.
MCI’s Myrias system can be deployed with vehicle scales and record load data and empty vehicle weight. It also can capture vehicle and trailer identifiers, operate with a variety of weighbridge indicators, perform multi-axle weighing and more.
Myrias includes applications that can help track waste for companies. The system can optimize profits by identifying, measuring and reducing waste throughout a company’s operations. The system can document waste by type, product and department and send data back to regional and headquarters offices where employees can use data to build more informed orders.
