The Washington-based Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) is accepting nominations for its 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award is given annually to one or more people to the recycled materials industry whose "name and deeds are synonymous with integrity and the pursuit of excellence" and who have made significant contributions over their lifetime to the recycled materials industry and/or ReMA.

The 2025 award will be presented at the ReMA2025 convention, May 12-15, at the San Diego Convention Center.

The honorees at the 2024 convention in Las Vegas were Joel Denbo and Mel Wright, who were individually recognized for "their lifelong dedication, leadership and service to the recycled materials industry and to ReMA.”

Lifetime Achievement Award criteria include: making a significant contribution to the industry through industry knowledge, technical innovation, industry advocacy, dedication to the safety and well-being of their employees or demonstrated leadership; outstanding contributions to the industry in terms of volunteer service to ReMA that promoted the advancement of the association; noteworthy public service activities on the local, regional, state or national or international levels that brought honor to the industry or association; and/or overall stature as a respected industry leader.

The award is not limited to current ReMA members and the deadline for nominations is Dec. 31.
