Reconomy, a London-based international circular economy specialist, has been shortlisted twice at the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards.
The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards is the U.K.’s largest and most prestigious business awards program, recognizing the best companies across all industries that are championing sustainability, diversity and equality and those that have transcended expectations and limitations throughout the year.
Following the initial entry, Reconomy has entered the final stage for the Growth Business and the Sustainable Business of the Year awards, entailing a 40-minute presentation and Q&A session with the judging panel.
The Growth Business of the Year Award recognises businesses achieving growth with a plan to deliver sustained financial success and impact. Judges are looking for strong financial performance, organic growth, effective optimization of growth capital or acquisition, exceptional customer service, engaged and productive employees and inspirational leadership.
The Sustainable Business of the Year Award highlights the role of organizations in addressing social, economic, environmental and ethical challenges and achieving commercial success. It recognizes businesses that have achieved meaningful and sustainable impact through partnership, investment, pro bono work or employee-led initiatives.
Following the presentations, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Nov. 12.
“We are delighted to be recognized both for our outstanding commercial success over the past few years as well as the significant progress we have made enabling the international circular economy,” Reconomy Group Sustainability Director Diane Crowe says. “It is an exciting prospect to present the Reconomy story and vision to the judging panel, demonstrating our passion and innovation for enabling a more sustainable world. Our inclusion in both awards is testament to a tangible realisation of our ambition to decouple economic growth from carbon emissions.”
