PTR Baler & Compactor Co., a subsidiary of Groveport, Ohio-based Komar Industries, has appointed Michael Avis as vice president of the newly formed Independent Hauler Sales Division.

Avis will be responsible for growing the division with a focus on sales management as well as providing a “more enhanced” client sales and services experience.

Avis has more than 35 years of experience in sales, manufacturing and purchasing as former vice president of Vineland, New Jersey-based Rudco Products as well as being a director-level executive at Wastequip, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He will focus on expanding PTR’s “robust” compaction solutions, including sales and rentals in the waste hauler market. He will lead a time focused on initiating client relationships, developing creative solutions and offering Komar as the single-solution provider for its clients’ compaction and recycling requirements.
