St. Petersburg, Florida-based ProMed Waste Solutions LLC has announced the acquisition of American Medical Transporters Inc. The purchase of the Largo-based company marks the third acquisition since September of 2015 by ProMed.
According to a ProMed news release, American Medical Transporters is “recognized as the oldest medical transport company licensed in Florida.” ProMed says American Medical Transporters’ “deep expertise will be an asset for ProMed’s partners and support further expansion and innovation within the industry.”

ProMed Waste Solutions was founded in 2011 with operations in the Orlando area and has been expanding its services state-wide, adding operations and facilities near Miami and outside of Orlando.
ProMed Waste Solutions provides its services to medical waste generators including hospitals, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, research labs and surgery centers. The company also offers services for the disposal of hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, electronic scrap and solid waste.
