“The agreement unites two of the industry’s best and most progressive family-owned businesses. It allows us to move forward with complete focus on our customers utilizing the unique strengths and values which we collectively bring to the marketplace,” said Anthony Pratt, Pratt’s chairman and CEO.
The deal also consolidates Pratt’s position as the 7th largest corrugated packaging company in the United States. The two companies have had a fairly strong working relationship over the past ten years. The deal now will result in Pratt being the exclusive supplier to the box company. They will end up providing Love with around 200,000 metric tons of paper a day.
Additionally, Visy is expected to boost the amount of recovered fiber it will need to take in, from around 720,000 metric tons to around 800,000 metric tons to meet its needs in the United States.
Love Enterprises, the parent company of Love Box, has facilities in 10 states throughout the Midwest .
