The Millennium Hilton Bangkok has been chosen as the venue for the first Paper Recycling Confex Asia , scheduled to take place Sept. 22-23 in Bangkok.
The conference and exhibition are organized by Media Fusion, the Dubai, United Arab Emirates-based publishers of Waste & Recycling.
The conference has been designed to provide regional and global market insights to delegates from Asia and beyond, Media Fusion says, adding that the event “builds upon the series of successful paper recycling conferences organized by Waste & Recycling in the Middle East over the past decade.”
Media Fusion indicates collectors, sellers and buyers of recycled paper and board from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, the Indian subcontinent, China, the Middle East and Europe can benefit from attending the event.
“Indonesia, China and Thailand imported nearly 8.6 million metric tons of recovered paper between January and September 2023, indicating a strong market presence in the region,” the company says.
Media Fusion also refers to India, the Middle East and Africa as places where overall paper and paperboard production are predicted to rise the rest of this decade.
