Accuride Corp., Evansville, Indiana, a supplier of components to the North American and European commercial vehicle industries, has sold its Brillion Iron Works subsidiary for $14 million to a subsidiary of Metaldyne Performance Group Inc. (MPG), Southfield, Michigan.
MPG, with 60 locations in 13 countries, provides components for use in powertrain and suspension applications in the global light, commercial and industrial vehicle markets
Brillion, located in Brillion, Wisconsin, specializes in casting design and the production of gray, ductile and austempered ductile iron castings for a range of industries, including light vehicles, commercial vehicles, agricultural, construction, oil and gas and mining equipment.
MPG says Brillion’s foundry complements its existing casting business and capacity. The company also manufactures gray and ductile iron castings and machines iron, aluminum and steel components for the transportation and industrial markets.
Accuride President and CEO Rick Dauch says, “Today’s action will enable Accuride to focus completely on our strategic vision to be the premier supplier of wheel-end system solutions to the global commercial vehicle industry.
Following the sale of Brillion, private equity firm Crestview Partners acquired Accuride.
