Movitherm, an Irvine, California-based provider of infrared thermal imaging systems and cloud-based monitoring software, has announced a webinar in partnership with Santa Barbara, California-based Seek Thermal scheduled for Oct. 15.

The webinar, “Protect Your MRF from Fires Before They Start,” will explore the role of thermal imaging technology in material recovery facilities (MRFs). Speakers include David Bursell, vice president of business development at Movitherm; Todd Faulkner, regional sales manager at Movitherm; and Jeff Meissner, vice president of global sales at Seek Thermal.

“Early fire detection is critical because it allows facilities to identify heat anomalies and potential fire risks before they escalate into dangerous and costly incidents,” Bursell says. “In environments like MRFs, where combustible materials are processed, fires can start rapidly and spread quickly, leading to equipment damage, operational downtime and serious safety risks.”

According to Bursell, the webinar will cover specific fire hazards in MRFs, the technology behind thermal imaging and how it works, real-time monitoring with cloud-based systems and testimonial from Santa Barbara-based waste management business Marborg Industries.

The webinar will provide information on Seek Thermal’s SEEK G300 camera and Movitherm’s cloud-based monitoring system, iTL.

“Together, we aim to educate industry professionals on how they can use our joint technologies to protect their facilities, improve safety and streamline operations,” Bursell says.
