Manitoba Corp. launches Freight130

Manitoba Corp., a fifth-generation nonferrous metals recycler headquartered in Lancaster, New York, with a second location in St. Louis, has introduced Freight130, a freight management software solution aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing communication across the logistics spectrum.

The software has been under development for three years and will be available for demos at Scrap Expo from Sept. 17-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. Attendees are invited to visit booth No. 115 in the indoor exhibit hall to learn more about Freight130 and how it can optimize logistics management and drive cost efficiencies.

“Freight130 is a web-based application designed to centralize and optimize logistics management for recyclers, manufacturers, traders and beyond,” Freight130 co-founder and CEO Sam Shine says. “Our system was designed to enhance logistics management by consolidating all shipments, bids, documents, vendor details and asset information into a centralized repository.”

The Freight130 name was inspired by the C-130 cargo plane that the third-generation owner of Manitoba Corp. flew, according to the company.

“Starting from a recognized need within our own operations, we engaged industry peers and swiftly realized its broader potential," Freight130 co-founder and President Adam Shine says. "After a year of internal use, we are thrilled to extend its benefits to a wider audience.”

According to its website, Freight130 offers unlimited shipments and users and is carrier and mode neutral with “top-notch” data security, fast and friendly support and fair and honest pricing.

“Freight130 enables comprehensive logistics oversight, from bid management to shipment assignment and detailed freight spend analytics,” Manitoba CEO Brian Shine says. “It has consistently saved us valuable time and resources.”
