Jüly Abfallservice GesmbH is a family-owned business that, since its foundation in 1955, has grown from an agricultural operation and cesspit servicing firm to a modern waste management company.

The company, based in Bruck an der Leitha, Austria, combines innovative and sustainable approaches with competent partners and consistent continuity to make a significant contribution to waste and recycling operations in eastern Austria, according to construction and material handling equipment company Liebherr.

The range of services provided by the company includes municipal organics and paper recycling or disposal, drain and sewer cleaning, trough and container services, event disposal and recycling services, portable toilet rental, catering and cleaning services.

Recycling and waste activities performed by Jüly Abfallservice demand the quickest possible unloading and sorting of a wide variety of materials, Liebherr notes. The company’s owners also wanted to increase machine uptime by using a combination of a hydraulic quick-coupling system with appropriate equipment.

Subsequently, a Liebherr telescopic handler became one of those a critical pieces of equipment for Jüly Abfallservice, deployed at the company’s premises to cover all of its handling and loading activities.

“Sharp metal parts, nails and other pointed objects at the recycling depot result in heavy wear on the tires,” Liebherr says, thus the telescopic handler was equipped with solid rubber tires so the operator and the machine can maneuver safely at all times.

“In the final analysis, we selected Liebherr because the overall package was right,” says Franz Neuwirth, operations manager of Jüly Abfallservice.

“Quality was important to us, and now we have a high-performance machine from Austria with the best onsite service support.”

The T 60-9s as has the ability to stay in use all year for a range of loading tasks, from sorting and compressing materials to loading and unloading containers, according to Liebherr. "No matter what the season, the model’s infinitely variable hydrostatic drive guarantees maximum traction in every work situation,” the firm adds.

At waste and recycling companies, space can be at a premium. “This is where the universal application of the Liebherr telescopic handler really scores,” Liebherr says.

“Because it is fast and agile and has powerful operating hydraulics, its positive strengths really come to the fore when handling large quantities of material."

The Europe-based company, which operates from Newport News, Virginia, in the United States, notes the T 60-9s is equipped with a Deutz Tier 4 diesel engine, and can be operated in a particularly energy-efficient manner.

An optional Auto-Power function enables fast loading cycles, as it allows the engine speed to be automatically adjusted without changing the driving speed, Liebherr says.

Regarding safety, by automatically activating the parking brake, the Liebherr Hill-Assist feature provides safety and high levels of driving comfort when driving over uneven terrain, according to the company.

The T 60-9s’ newly designed chassis frame and wheelbase helps ensure a low center of gravity. “As a result, the stability of Liebherr telescopic handlers is just as impressive when loading or when stacking," the company says.

The end position damping, installed as standard in the model’s lifting and telescopic cylinder, has been designed to ensure safe movement of the load, even with an extreme boom position.

Operator comfort factors include “generous" interior space and class-leading visibility in all directions.
