Springfield, Massachusetts-based Labrador Recycling Inc. has added veteran trader Randy Goodman to its staff as vice president of sales and marketing.
Labrador Recycling is an international brokerage founded in 2013, however, its roots trace back to the 1800s as a sister company of the Joseph Freedman Co. Inc., founded in 1891.
Joseph Freedman Co. is one of the oldest and largest independently owned and operated private metal recyclers in New England.
Among the scrap grades Labrador brokers are mixed shredded metals such as twitch and zorba; aluminum grades, including foils and used beverage cans (UBCs); plus copper and other red metals; nickel alloys; stainless steel; and electric motors.
Goodman’s career in the scrap metal sector goes back to the early 1990s and includes stints with the former Central Metals in Atlanta, Hugo Neu Schnitzer in New York, OmniSource Southeast in South Carolina, Freedom Metals in Kentucky and Greenland (America) Inc. in the Atlanta area.
