Jennifer Jones is the new director of industry standards at the Washington-based Plastics Industry Association (Plastics) as of June 4. She leads the association’s work on domestic and international industry codes and standards and will develop, implement and manage Plastics’ American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standards Program.
Jones most recently served as a senior standards associate with the American Petroleum Institute (API), which included managing standards committees for multiple petroleum industry sectors. Previously, she was a quality associate with API, where she reviewed quality system and manufacturing process audit reports.
“Jennifer’s many years of experience with standards applications will provide important insights to support our membership committees,” says Plastics’ Interim President & CEO, Patty Long. “She is a great addition to the PLASTICS team.”
Prior to joining API, Jones worked in various roles at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
