Innov-X Systems Inc., Woburn, Mass., has introduced its new line of handheld XRF analyzers. Called the Delta line, the analyzers address a demand in the recycling industry for a handheld XRF fully ruggedized and weatherproofed to meet industrial standards, according to the company.
“I am really proud of the accomplishments of our development teams,” says Don Sackett, Innov-X founder and CEO. “They’ve redesigned our analyzers from the ground up to create a true production tool that is both analytically superior and rugged enough for virtually any environment – no compromises. The Delta analyzers feature the latest technology to optimize analysis throughput and uptime.”
According to Innov-X, exterior features of the analyzer include the following:
• Weatherproof, rugged industrial-grade body
• Superior balance and ergonomics with over-molding and rubberized grip
• Rear-facing, Blanview touch screen, for superior visibility in bright or dim conditions
• External heat-sink engineered for extreme temperature and continuous high-power use
• True hot-swap battery capabilities – replace battery without restarting analyzer
The company says features included inside the analyzer include:
• Rapid measurements for high throughput
• State-of-the-art technology and redesigned geometry for outstanding analytical performance, speed and lower detection limits
• Light element measurement capability in air or vacuum
Exclusive to Innov-X’s Delta line of analyzers is the auto-calibrating, auto-charging docking station. With its Delta docking station, the company says operators never need to power their analyzers off – the station charges the analyzer battery as well as a spare, and periodically performs analyzer calibration check.
