Toy and game manufacturer Hasbro Inc. has joined the How2Recycle label program. Hasbro, based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is now one of more than 45 companies taking part in the program designed to educate consumers on packaging recyclability by providing on-package instructions.
The How2Recycle Label will be found “on a number of Hasbro products across its portfolio and will help consumers understand how to recycle each component of packaging,” according to a news release issued by Charlottesville, Virginia-based How2Recycle.
Hasbro’s products and brands include Transformers, Nerf, Play-Doh, My Little Pony and Monopoly board games.

Says How2Recycle Project Manager Danielle Peacock, “We are excited to welcome Hasbro to the How2Recycle Label Program. Its membership shows leadership in the toy industry, and brings How2Recycle to children and their parents through Hasbro’s products. We hope that early recycling education turns into a life-long recycling ethic.”
