Chesapeake, Virginia-based metal recycler Greenwave Technology Solutions Inc. says it is now operating a metal processing and equipment maintenance hub also located in Chesapeake.
The company says it expects its profit margins on the metal processed through the Chesapeake facility to increase by 20 percent to 25 percent as a result of it preparing metal for steel mills, stripping wire and nonferrous metals and cutting metals to the proper size for both international and domestic shipping.

The company’s Chesapeake location is optimally located in the heart of Hampton Roads’ maritime industry, it says, with access to both the interstate and the Elizabeth River. Greenwave believes the facility provides the company with the infrastructure to continue its expansion.
Greenwave currently operates 13 metal recycling facilities throughout Virginia and North Carolina, with a 14th expected to open in Richmond, Virginia, in the coming weeks.
