Greenstar UK has announced it will build one of London’s largest material recovery facilities (MRFs), which will process nearly 10 percent of north London’s collected recyclables. The Greenstar Atlas site is licensed to process up to 250,000 tons of recyclables per year through its MRF, and another 250,000 tons per year through its waste transfer station. The facility will be designed to process domestic and commercial recyclables such as paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass containers and textiles.
