Gershow Recycling, a recovered metals dealer based in Medford, New York, participated in the Tesla Science Expo at the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe (TSCW) in Shoreham, New York, on July 13.
The company was focused on encouraging attendees to recycle and explaining how different types of end-of-life products, such as cars, appliances, and building materials, are recycled.
Since 2013, Gershow has provided its scrap metal containers for use by the TSCW to help the nonprofit organization fund the renovation of Wardenclyffe, which is the site of the only remaining laboratory of the inventor Nikola Tesla. In addition, Gershow has sponsored and participated in “Metal for Tesla,” a scrap metal fundraising event to benefit TSCW.
Gershow has nine New York locations in Brooklyn, New Hyde Park, Valley Stream, Freeport, Lindenhurst, Huntington Station, Bay Shore, Medford and Riverhead.
