Raleigh, North Carolina-based Wall Recycling LLC has sold its scrap metal division to Foss Recycling, a multilocation metals recycler and auto parts sales firm based in Greenville, North Carolina. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Wall, a portfolio company of Allied Industrial Partners LLC, says the transaction allows Wall Recycling to focus on what it calls its core integrated waste operations.
“This transaction is a win-win,” says Dustin Hill, chief operating officer of Wall Recycling. “Wall Recycling remains committed to being the premier provider of waste and environmental services in North Carolina and can now dedicate more resources to our core and growing integrated waste operations.”
Foss Recycling operates a network of about a dozen scrap yards that includes two auto shredders, six U-Pull-It self-service auto salvage and parts locations and a scrap metal trading and brokerage division it started in 2019.
“We believe the scrap metal division will continue to thrive under the new ownership of Foss Recycling, leveraging its expertise and resources to further expand its reach and capabilities for the benefit of its customers," Hill says.
"We are proud of our legacy and reputation as a trusted leader in the recycling industry, and we extend our gratitude to the employees, customers and stakeholders associated with the scrap metal division for their dedication and support over the years. All parties are committed to ensuring a seamless transition.”
Wall Recycling and Houston-based Allied Industrial Partners plan to be acquisitive and "will look to build upon [Wall’s] strong waste platform while maintaining its leadership in the North Carolina market.”
Wall Recycling operates five construction and demolition materials reclamation yards, a roll-off container placement service and portable toilet services.
"We are proud to support the company in this important transaction,” say Bradford Rossi and Philip Wright, managing partners of Allied. “This is a significant and strategic step in Wall Recycling's evolution and positions the company for its next phase of growth.”
In addition to Wall Recycling, other portfolio companies of Allied include firms involved in the industrial rental, manufacturing, distribution, environmental services and infrastructure sectors.
