Cardiff-based supply chain management software company Finboot has appointed Sunitha Ray as its new strategic partnerships and alliances advisor. She will be based in New York.
The company’s technology provides green supply chain management for capital-intensive companies globally. Its low code/no code platform traces carbon emissions, allows mass balancing and minimizes supply chain risk through high-integrity data using blockchain technology. Finboot clients include SABIC, Repsol and Cepsa.
Finboot co-founder and CEO Juan Miguel Perez says he is delighted to welcome Sunitha to the company. “Sunitha has both the technical expertise, experience and track record to help us meet the demand from capital intensive, hard-to-decarbonize industries like energy, chemical, steel and cement across all geographies including North America, India and Europe. As Sunitha is New York-based, she will be a key bridge to help us meet demand in the key high-carbon emitting North American market, in particular.”
Finboot says Ray is a digital transformation specialist focused on supply chain optimization and has led key digital initiatives in her previous roles with Benjamin Moore, Flow Beverages and, most recently, with SharkNinja as its vice president of information technology and digital.
As a Chicago-based principal partner at Capgemini responsible for consumer packaged goods, retail and distribution in North America, Ray developed and implemented supply chain strategy roadmaps and technology-led solutions. She was the global client executive on projects with Walmart, Kroger, The Gap, HyVee, Shure and Ulta Beauty, among others.
Ray has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Stella Maris College; a master’s degree in software engineering from the National Institute of Information Technology; an MBA from the International Management Institute; and a master’s degree in supply chain and data science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
“I am delighted to join a green supply chain organization with a mature blockchain-based no code/low code platform that not only tracks emissions data, but also factors in the granularity necessary to drive decarbonization to accelerate our customers’ journey towards net-zero,” Ray says. “We only have one planet today that will sustain life and it is an ideal opportunity for me to work with an experienced, stellar team at Finboot and help our customers measure, track, take action, give back and make Earth a better place for us and our future generations.”
