ERI Inc.'s RecycleNation.com online search tool designed to help find nearby recycling facilities has been ranked as the No. 1 recycling tool on the internet and No. 2 recycling-related website overall by aggregated blog website FeedSpot.
ERI, a Fresno, California-based operator of a network of electronics recycling and IT asset disposition (ITAD) facilities, says RecycleNation has been designed to help anyone, anywhere in the United States find the nearest location to responsibly recycle anything.
Mill Valley, California-based FeedSpot analyzes what it considers to be the top recycling blogs from thousands of blogs and websites and ranks them based on traffic, social media followers and freshness, according to ERI.
On its most recent “Top 100 Recycling Blogs and Websites” list, FeedSpot has RecycleNation ranked second, and lists it as the highest ranked recycling-related consumer search tool on the web.
“Our mission with RecycleNation is to democratize, simplify and encourage the recycling process by providing a free, interactive, easy-to-use tool that empowers users to type in their ZIP codes and the items they want to recycle so that nearby recycling opportunities can be discovered,” says John Shegerian, co-founder, board chair and CEO of ERI and cofounder of RecycleNation.
“It’s rewarding to experience this kind of success for a labor of love that promotes across-the-board environmental sustainability and circular economy initiatives. RecycleNation is the ultimate system to bring recyclers and consumers together, and the numbers show that it’s making a huge difference.”
ERI says RecycleNation houses the world’s largest recycling database, with more than 100,000 unique data points for over 50 different items, “all offered to the public free of charge.”
The site has helped more than 10 million visitors find locations to recycle various materials and objects, helping some 300,000 unique visitors monthly, according to ERI.
