Luton, United Kingdom-based Enval has received a 2017 SME National Business Award in the Green Category “for its work in developing and commercializing technologies to prevent materials and resources ending up in landfill.”
SME (Small Medium Enterprise) Award judges, including representatives of Clydesdale Bank and Lloyds Banking Group, considered Enval’s technology to process packaging pouches, tubes and sachets made from plastic aluminum laminates that had previously been considered largely uncreyclable.
“The Enval Team is thrilled to have its hard work recognized with this award,” commented Dr. Carlos Ludlow-Palafox, Enval CEO. “We are delighted with this endorsement of the green benefits of our technology and the instrumental role that SMEs like Enval play in driving innovation across the environmental sector.”
The SME Awards have been designed to recognize the importance of small and medium enterprises to the economy. The Green Award is intended for businesses committed to reducing or removing the harmful impact products or services may have on the environment.
Enval received the award from TV presenter Jules Breach at an event held at Wembley Stadium in London at an event attended by more than 400 people.
