European Metal Recycling Ltd., (EMR) has acquired the Stoke on Trent, U.K.-based metal recycling company Arthur Wright and Son. The agreement was finalized on June 25. Existing employees will transfer to EMR.
The latest addition to the EMR group brings with it processing capabilities and handles all grades of ferrous and non ferrous metals.
“The new site is well located to enhance our operations in both the North West and the Midlands and will enable us to build on our relationship with other merchants in the local area; something which is very important to us,” says Ian Sheppard, Regional GM.
EMR handles more than 10 million metric tons of ferrous and nonferrous metal per year.
Arthur Wright and Son has been in business for more than 40 years. In addition to handling various grades of metal, the company also is involved in construction and demolition activities.
