Earth Waste Systems, (EWS) based in Rutland, Vt., has signed a contract to purchase an idled filaments facility in Middlebury, Vt. The 100,000-square-foot facility will allow the company to handle automobiles, as well as a range of other recyclables, including paper and glass.
EWS says that the new facility will serve the company as a recycling and processing hub. The company is in the process of cleaning up the facility, and expects to begin processing at the site in June 2011.
The company also operates facilities in Castleton and Middlebury, Vt.; Manchester, Tenn.; and Morrisonville, N.Y.
