The Corrugators Association of the Caribbean and Central and South America (ACCCSA) has appointed Juan Pablo Perez, chief financial officer for Dublin-based Smurfit Kappa the Americas, as the association president. ACCCSA contributes to the development and growth of the Latin American corrugated industry.
According to Smurfit Kappa, Perez will lead the ACCCSA’s industry relations with the public and private organizations across the region.
Perez has a bachelor’s degree in business from Colombia’s Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Master of Science in business from Indiana-based Purdue University. He began his career at Smurfit Kappa in 1996 and has been the company’s CFO for the Americas for the past two years. He also has been a controller for the company’s Colombia Mills division and general manager of the Bogota, Colombia, and Dominican Republic corrugated plants.
With more than 24 years of experience in the corrugated industry as well as a deep understanding of the market, Smurfit Kappa says Perez can represent the interests of the corrugated industry in Latin America. He will work as president of ACCCSA along with the board of directors formed by Liliana Chatelet, Alberto Herazo, Alfredo Esquivel, Gloriana Sánchez and María Luisa Jaramillo.
