The mid-January alert includes several photographs showing the spooled cable, a potential suspect and the vehicle and tow-behind trailer allegedly used in the theft.
ISRI sends the alerts to notify scrap purchasers so they can be on the lookout for material that matches the description of what has been stolen.
In the Steelton incident, ISRI says three reels of 535,000 circular mils (kcmil) diesel locomotive (DLO) cable, approximately 1,300 feet total in length, and two reels of 4/0 American wire gauge (AWG) DLO cable, 1,000 feet in total, were taken.

The Steelton Police Department has identified the vehicle involved as a white Ford F-250 pickup truck. The suspect is described as a white male who could be approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weigh about 170 pounds.
