The United Steelworkers (USW) says members of USW Local 200 have ratified a new, five-year collective bargaining agreement that ends the strike at a Constellium aluminum production facility that consumes used beverage cans (UBCs).

Roughly 400 members of Local 200 began returning to work Tuesday, Jan. 12, according to the union. The strike began Dec. 15, 2020, according to an earlier USW announcement.

“Our solidarity provided the protection that was able to be achieved, and we look forward to working with this strong and vibrant, engaged membership in the future,” says USW District 9 Director Daniel Flippo.
