Columbus McKinnon Adds Staff

Material handling equipment manufacturer strengthens its executive staff with the addition of three people.

Columbus McKinnon Corp., a manufacturer of material handling products headquartered in Amherst, N.Y., has announced the promotion and appointment of three corporate officers.  

Ivo Celi Alan Korman Eric Woon

Eric Woon has been named as vice president of Asia-Pacific (APAC); Ivo Celi has been named vice president, Europe, Middle East and Arica (EMEA); and Alan Korman has been named vice president, corporate secretary and general counsel. All three men are members of the company’s executive committee.

Timothy Tevens, Columbus McKinnon president and CEO, says, “The promotions of Ivo, Eric and Alan recognize their accomplishments and the vital role each plays in the profitable global growth of Columbus McKinnon. Together with the rest of our executive leadership team, they give us a firm foundation for continued growth as we move toward our long-term goal of annual sales of $1 billion.”

Woon joined Columbus McKinnon as managing director – Asia-Pacific in 2009. He was responsible for leading the company’s growth in the region, with a strong focus on China. Before joining Columbus McKinnon, Woon was president of Volvo Construction Equipment China and president and CEO of Tesa Tape Asia Pacific.

Celi joined Columbus McKinnon as managing director – EMEA in 2010 to oversee the company’s presence in the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Columbus McKinnon, Celi worked with Hilti AG, where he worked in strategy development, sales and marketing, product portfolio management, customer oriented product development, supply, production and logistics.

Korman joined Columbus McKinnon as general counsel and assistant corporate secretary in January 2011, where he played a key role in the company’s corporate governance and business strategy.
