CARI, or the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries, has announced via LinkedIn that Jacqueline Lotzkar will join the association as president and CEO beginning Feb. 3.
Most recently, Lotzkar served as vice president of Pacific Metals Recycling International, Vancouver, British Columbia, and recently supported the sale and ownership transition of the 112-year-old business her family owned to fellow British Columbia-based companies ABC Recycling and Pacific Materials Destruction, a subsidiary of Urban Impact.
CARI says she brings significant recycling experience to her new position and is well-known throughout the recycling world, having been named by Recycling International magazine as one of the Top 100 most inspiring and innovative global leaders in recycling, a list that Recycling International says spotlights industry veterans, entrepreneurs, trendsetters and young talents.
Throughout her career, Lotzkar has been an active member of the Washington-based Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) and has experience working with government officials in the U.S. and Canada to advocate for the recycling and manufacturing industries.
She holds a master’s degree in global business and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Victoria.
