Cards Recycling, headquartered in Arkansas, signed a purchase agreement June 26 to acquire the assets of County Recycling Services LLC (CRS) of Royse City, Texas, marking its third acquisition in the Dallas metro market and bolt-on purchase to its Anna, Texas operation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cards purchased Reed Sanitation in 2022 and Barnes Waste Disposal in May of this year. This strategic purchase of CRS will further densify CARDS’ subscription residential and commercial presence, according to the company.
CRS serves Rockwall and Hunt counties and provides subscription residential, commercial, bulky waste and temporary roll-off collection.
“We are excited about this acquisition,” Cards Recycling CEO Dan Christensen says. “We’ve had our eyes on this opportunity for a while; we know we are tucking in a well-run company that provides immense value. Not only will we be able to grow our existing services and increase density, but we look forward to the permanent and recurring revenue stream that this brings. We’ve developed a significant appreciation for the CRS team given their strong commitment to delivering excellent service to their customers.”
The CRS acquisition is the company’s seventh this year. With a little less than half the year left, Cards says it forecasts closing seven to 10 additional transactions, finishing the year with a total of between 15 to 20 total deals.
“The growth has been impressive to witness,” Cards Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Brandon Wysoglad says. “As a former finance executive and change management specialist, I’m so excited to be a part of the future transformational goals we are on the path to achieve.”
Wysoglad joined the company in April from National Express LLC, where he most recently served as CFO of the North American subsidiary of Mobico Group, one of the premier transportation firms in the United Kingdom.
