Waste Today magazine has announced the introduction of the Capital Markets Conference, a new waste and environmental services industry event focused on success strategies for those looking to invest or access capital for growth, as well as those considering a merger, acquisition or sale of their businesses.
The Capital Markets Conference will take place Oct. 17-18, 2018, at the Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. This conference provides a blend of sessions that will deliver analysis of numerous industry sectors and insights into the capital markets available to finance growth and business development.
The conference is designed for operators in the waste management, specialty waste, recycling and waste cleanup industries, as well as for investment bankers, private equity firms, venture capitalists, family offices, banks and other financial market participants.
“We are excited to further our offerings in the waste management and environmental services sector,” Jim Keefe, publisher of Waste Today, says. “The environmental services industry continues to evolve through both technological changes and environmental management requirements. These combine to create increased capital requirements and unique investment opportunities. We felt the timing was right to bring professionals together for a face-to-face, high-value event. Our team has worked closely with leading investment bankers and industry professionals to craft a uniquely insightful event.”
Leading industry executives currently scheduled to speak include Ronald J. Mittelstaedt, CEO of Waste Connections; Effram Kaplan, managing director and principal, Brown Gibbons Lang and Co.; and Joseph Ursuy, senior vice president, Comerica Bank. The full roster of speakers will be announced at a later date.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available for industry suppliers interested in raising awareness of their company and services within this industry segment. Contact Shelley Brown at SBrown@gie.net or 216-393-0236.
