Brandt Industries USA Ltd. has announced the McCoy Construction & Forestry dealership network based in Dubuque, Iowa, has agreed to carry  the Brandt Material Handler line the company says is purpose-built for the American metal recycling industry.

“We are excited to serve the metal recycling industry by partnering with a company that shares our belief in putting customers and their needs first,” says Jason Klassen, a Brandt senior vice president. “Teaming up with McCoy Construction & Forestry will help us expand our reach to deliver superior material handling equipment to customers in the Midwest.”

Brandt describes its material handler for the metals recycling industry as the only one “designed, manufactured and supported in North America.” The machines are built on a John Deere platform and deliver “unmatched productivity and uptime, with easy-to-find components and support through local dealerships,” states the company.

McCoy Construction & Forestry has 25 locations in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee, according to Brandt.

“We’ve compared the Brandt material handler to [its] competitors, and our takeaway is that Brandt has a better product, as well as the exceptional product knowledge and support needed for us be responsive to our customers,” says Jeff Herkert, president of McCoy Construction & Forestry.

Adds Herkert, “The engineering and construction of Brandt products and their focus on reliability, dependability and durability will make a big impact on the market with this new material handler.”

Adding Brandt material handlers to its product offerings will enable McCoy to offer “a new reliable and durable option for their metal recycling customers,” says Brandt.

Earlier this year, Brandt announced that Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., another of John Deere’s largest North American construction equipment dealers with 29 locations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio, had agreed to carry its material handlers.

The Canada-based Brandt Group of Companies is privately owned and manufactures and distributes products serving industries including construction, forestry, rail, mining, steel, transportation, material handling, agriculture and energy. The company has more than 6,200 employees and more than 180 locations in Canada, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
