Fohnsdorf, Austria-based Arnold Technology for Metal Recycling (ATM) says it has expanded its ability to collect and offer precise data pertaining to its machines that previously could “only be seen in specific cases by the ATM Service Team.”
The company—which makes balers, briquetters, shears, shredders and car crushers—says its balers and briquetters can be equipped with ATM Smart Recycling Solutions. It describes the package as “a special hardware by t-matix [that] is connected to the machines via a SPS [sensor planning service] interface.” Data can be transferred to a platform and views on interactive dashboards.
States ATM, “Precise data are collected in real time with the help of ATM Smart and are made transparent for customers. Thereby, a lot of valuable information can be generated and resources can be saved.”
The data collected pertains to “user behavior, product optimization, utilization capacity and maintenance, [and] can be generated and analyzed,” adds the firm. “The analysis shows potential for improvement and enables customers to efficiently use their machines”.
Wear parts that need to be replaced can be identified, says ATM, “so orders can be planned early.”
ATM Smart Recycling Solutions can be used as an add-on to every briquetting and baling press made by the firm, and the accompanying app is available for iOS and Android devices.
