AMSCO Wear Products became the new exclusive North American representative for Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH (SWB) in the field of steel and metal fragmentizing starting Nov. 17.
Germany-based SWB casts wear-resistant tools and components for steel and metal fragmentizing and processing minerals, rocks and construction remnants. The company was represented in the U.S. and Canada for almost 20 years by Global Partners Alliance LLC of Bettendorf, Iowa. However, since that company’s owners decided to retire, SWB selected AMSCO as its new partner.
Wilmington, Delaware-based AMSCO Wear Products was established in 1915 and has more than 125 years of combined experience in the foundry and scrap metal recycling industries. The company is part of Lawton Standard Co, De Pere, Wisconsin.
SWB says it is represented by an experienced and larger sales team through AMSCO.
A family-owned, midsized company, SWB says its main focus is to develop, produce and deliver wear parts with the best costs in the market. The company makes differentially hardened hammers, caps, anvils, grids and other wear parts for auto shredders. Keeping production in-house in Germany allows the company to react to the market on short notice. SWB offers application consulting to support its customers in optimizing their processes and reducing shredder downtime.
