AMP adds former Republic executive to board

Louisville, Colorado-based AMP, formerly known as Amp Robotics Corp., which develops artificial intelligence (AI)-powered sortation for the waste and recycling industry, has elected Tim Stuart to serve on its board of directors. The company says the former Republic Services Inc. executive is its first independent director.

Stuart most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) for Phoenix-based Republic Services.

In that role, Stuart “spearheaded the company’s adoption, implementation and scaling of new technologies while overseeing field operations, integrations, digital operations strategy and execution and more,” Amp says.

Stuart worked more than 17 years at Republic, holding regional vice president titles before becoming executive vice president and COO in 2019. Prior to Republic, Stuart spent approximately 11 years at Houston-based WM.
