S2 is new name for C&C Manufacturing

Recycling equipment maker C&C Manufacturing rebrands as S2 Manufacturing; will retain Aljon name on recycling industry products.

C&C Manufacturing, which offers equipment for the scrap recycling and other markets under the brand names Aljon, Bonfiglioli and Vammas, is adopting S2 Manufacturing as its new corporate name.

The Ottumwa, Iowa-based company says its new name, S2 Manufacturing will better align with its business today. The "S2" represents "simple and strong."

The company's 580CL is designed to
process up to 25 tons per hour.

The newly renamed S2 is a manufacturer and global distributor of heavy equipment for scrap metal recycling, waste management and airport maintenance applications.

“With the S2 Manufacturing name, we are building on the tagline of ‘Keeping Simple and Building it Strong,’ better representing the exciting future for the company and enabling us to seamlessly add new products,” says David Bradford, president and chief operating officer of S2 Manufacturing.

“We continue our commitment to excellence for our Aljon products, serving our many customers in the scrap metal, recycling and waste management business."

Under the new name, the company also continue to draw upon its more than 60-year heritage, saying, “The Aljon brand will also be elevated, using that name for its powerful and durable scrap recycling equipment, landfill compactors, car crushers and metal balers.”

In addition to Aljon landfill compactors, car crushers and metal baling equipment, S2 Manufacturing serves as the North American distributor of Bonfiglioli Squalo portable guillotine shears and Drake shredders. The firm also makes Vammas-brand airport snow removal equipment.

S2 Manufacturing was acquired by Florida-based Equivu Capital in 2021, when it was still known as C&C Manufacturing. Equivu Capital invests in growing businesses as the investment arm of Salvatore C. Calvino.
